Prevent Television Tip Over Injuries
Televisions tip- over injuries have dramatically risen in the past five years. As televisions have gotten thinner and lighter, they also pose a greater risk of toppling onto a curious child if placed too close to a stand's edge. -
Dr. Jim
These safety straps help prevent your flat screen TV from tipping over. Made of durable nylon webbing with heavy-duty plastic brackets that screw into any TV to secure to furniture or wall studs. Two straps per each TV.
Tips from pediatricians
Place televisions on sturdy furniture appropriate for the size of the TV or on a low-rise base.
Push the TV as far back as possible from the front of its stand.
Remove items that might tempt kids to climb, such as toys and remote controls, from the top of the TV and furniture.
If the television stand itself wobbles when moved back and forth, the television needs be strapped to the stand
and
the stand needs
anchoring to the wall
.
