Put a Stop on Windows
I keep a few of these handy around the home to allow safe venting in the warmer months. I can simply move them around from room to room depending upon which windows I would like open.
-Dr. Joel
This clever device prevents windows and doors from opening too far. It suctions onto the upper window glass so installation is quick and easy! No tools, screws or adhesive required! Works on double-hung and sliding windows, sliding glass doors, mirrored closets and sliding showerdoors, too.

Pros • No installation
• Portable from room to room |

 |
Cons • Easy to use incorrectly (if you place these too high on a window it will allow a child to open a window too wide).

Tips from pediatricians
• Windows should not be vented more than 3 1/2"
• Screens are only designed to keep bugs out- they will not keep your child in
• Children are more likely to die or be severly injured from window falls than from falls associated with any other product |
